Morning Update 1-26-17:

MEMA has revised the damage figures from last weekend's tornadoes.  It now says more than 1200 homes in eight counties were damaged-- not 1400.  And the number of destroyed/heavily damaged homes has dropped from more than 700 to 549.   Sometimes, initial damage surveys indicate a level of damage that doesn't actually exist when debris or fallen trees are removed.

William Carey University is inviting students, staff and friends to a "Carey Strong" worship and fellowship service tomorrow evening.  It's being held at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg to share "encouragement, determination and information".
