So, these are unprecedented times we are facing in our nation and around the world. People's lives have drastically changed. There's fear and concern on when this will end. But, there are still good people in the world. Everyone seems to be chipping in to help the elderly, their neighbors, total strangers. It's a light in an otherwise dim situation.
But, today, I heard these 3 stories that really put a smile to my face.
New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, and his family have decided to donate FIVE MILLION DOLLARS of their own money to help out care workers in Louisiana.
Pop and Country Superstar, Taylor Swift, spent much of the day on social media yesterday searching for fans who had posted about extreme financial fears that they were facing. So, Taylor just started donating $3,000 to each of those fans. She simply deposited the money directly into their accounts.
Dyson, who we know as vacuum manufacturers, spent some time the past few days inventing a new ventilator that can be used in hospitals across the nation. They have promised to make at least 15,000 and send them out to those places in desperate need.
There are many more and I'll be posting about those each day. It's very easy to feel overwhelmed with everything going on and the uncertainty of it all. But, if we try and focus on the good and think of ways that we can possibly help out, it will bring a little light into each of our lives during this time. I know we don't have an extra 5 Million dollars laying around, but we each have something. Toilet paper. Extra bread. Maybe a bottle of wine, HA! or just a smile. These things will go a long way.
