Cowboys star disses kid asking for autograph wearing "the wrong jersey"

DEMARCUS LAWRENCE of the Dallas Cowboys is defending himself, after a video made the rounds showing him REJECTING a young fan who asked for his autograph.

The kid was decked out in New York Giants gear, including a Saquon Barkley jersey. In the video, DeMarcus walks past the kid and says, quote, "Get the right jersey, son!"

DeMarcus Tweeted, quote, "It's crazy how you fans want to attack me for not signing for a kid. [There are kids] that come to the game with Cowboys jerseys and never get to meet any player. So if I'm honest with my own kids, I'll never treat your kid better than mine, so suck it up. #SorryNotSorry."

Naturally, people are ripping DeMarcus for being a bit of a jerk about it, and that's fair, but it's worth pointing out the GOOD he's doing too.

DeMarcus was at a previously planned charity event last night, where he hung out with around 90 kids. He also gave away350 backpacks to the community.

Reporters asked him about the Giants fan, and he said kids need to get used to hearing 'No.' And quote, "[He'll] be okay, trust me. If not, I'll write a public apology for hurting his feelings. Other than that, hopefully he gets a DeMarcus Lawrence jersey for Christmas."

Here's my thoughts... if he was a nice guy and stopped and signed for the kid, he might have made a fan for life. Instead, he didn't... I say choose kindness.
