Post MaloneΒ seemingly hinted at an upcoming collaboration with country megastarΒ Luke CombsΒ in a videoΒ on InstagramΒ on Thursday afternoon (February 15). The βSunflowerβ hitmaker appeared to reveal a sneak peek when he posted a snippet of the unreleased song, simply captioning it with a beer emoji and tagging Combs. The teaser quickly drew eager comments from fans and from others in the country music community, including Combβs wifeΒ Nicole Combs,Β ERNEST,Β Callista ClarkΒ andΒ RaeLynn, to name a few.
If Posty is teasing a collaboration with the βGrowinβ Up and Gettinβ Oldβ star, it wouldnβt be the first time heβs crossed boundaries into the country music genre. In November, for example,Β Post Malone took the Bridgestone Arena stage in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. He joinedΒ One Thing At A TimeΒ starΒ Morgan WallenΒ and country-rock artistΒ HARDYΒ for a collaborative performance during the 57th annual CMA Awards. Wallen and HARDY covered βJohn Deere Greenβ and added Post Malone for βPickup Man,β honoring the lateΒ Joe DiffieΒ in a surprise tribute. The tribute performance foreshadowedΒ HARDYβsΒ DIFFTAPEΒ announcement. Heβs set to release the Diffie-inspired project β the third installment of hisΒ HIXTAPEΒ albums β next month.
It wasnβt clear as of publication time when Post Malone might release a collab with Combs. Listen to the teaser he posted here:
